The Tim O'Brien Band

Laurie Lewis & Nina Gerber

Laurie Lewis & Nina Gerber

Born in Wheeling, West Virginia in 1954, Grammy winning singer songwriter and multi- instrumentalist Tim O’Brien grew up singing in church and in school. After seeing Doc Watson on TV, he became a lifelong devotee of old time and bluegrass music. Tim started touring nationally in 1978 with Colorado bluegrass band Hot Rize.

Living in Nashville since 1996, O’Brien’s skills on guitar, mandolin, fiddle, and banjo make him an in-demand session player. He tours in a duet setting with his wife Jan Fabricius on mandolin and vocals, and in a band the includes bassist Mike Bub, fiddler Shad Cobb, and Fabricius.

The International Bluegrass Music Association awarded him song of the year in 2006 and named him best male vocalist in 1993 and 2006. He was inducted into the West Virginia Music Hall of Fame in 2013 and into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame in 2022.

Laurie Lewis & Nina Gerber

Laurie Lewis & Nina Gerber

Laurie Lewis & Nina Gerber

For nearly four decades, Laurie Lewis has gathered fans and honors for her powerful and emotive voice and her versatile, dynamic songwriting. She is a sought-after recording producer and an equally skilled teacher and mentor. And she is an inspiration and a ground-breaker – across genres, across geography and across gender barriers.

While steeped in the bluegrass tradition, Laurie’s songwriting demonstrates her ability to surpass the limitations of that genre. Her works reflect her wide range of influences: from old time and country to Tin Pan Alley, jazz standards and early rock ‘n roll.

Laurie has been nominated for GRAMMYs for her own projects and has been prominently featured on others’ GRAMMY-winning works.

Laurie has always surrounded herself with stellar performers.

------------------------

Born and raised in the semi-rural outskirts of Sebastopol, CA, Gerber has been an undeniable staple of the West Coast acoustic music scene since the late 70's. From the first time she heard Kate Wolf perform in a local pizza shop, the budding teenage guitarist single-mindedly dedicated herself to her instrument. Within a few years she had won Wolf's respect and a place as her principal musical collaborator. From there she built a career as a sought-after teacher, arranger, producer and prolific accompanist to a veritable who's who of folk music royalty.

In 2021 when awarding Gerber with the "Far West Best of the West" award, the acclaimed fiddler and songwriter, Laurie Lewis said, "Nina makes magic happen as few can. Sure, she has the technical chops and knows the fingerboard, but it's what one does with those tools that sets the artist apart from the technician. And Nina is an artist--one who has made a profession of giving wings to songwriters' scribbles. And I'm not talking paper airplanes."

Peter Case

Laurie Lewis & Nina Gerber

Peter Case

As a founding member of the early punk era trio The Nerves, in 1977 Case toured the nation sharing bills with the Ramones, Mink DeVille, Pere Ubu, and Devo. The Nervessingle “Hanging on the Telephone,” was covered by Blondie. In 1979, Case formed the Plimsouls, a record-breaking live act in California, recording albums for Planet/Elektra and Geffen. Their independent single, “A Million Miles Away,” entered the Billboard charts and remains a garage rock standard, performed by bands around the world. The band performed inthe cult classic film Valley Girl and the Nerves and Plimsouls timeless teenage rock ‘n’ roll continues to appeal to fans of each new generation.

After the Plimsouls, Case rediscovered his musical roots on his self-titled solo debut, produced by

T Bone Burnett. The New York Times declared Peter Case the best album of 1986. It earned a five-star Rolling Stone review and a Grammy nomination. As one of the first songwriters of his generation to turn from rock music toward an acoustic sound,Case also helped usher in what became known as Americana music.

Ley Line

Chuck Brodsky

Peter Case

Four voices coalesce, rooted in rhythm. Raised on the North American traditions of blues, folk, and soul and inspired by their world travels, the four women of Ley Line transcend genres and languages. Ley Line creates a global soundscape; blending influences from Brazil, Latin America and West Africa. Dynamic harmonies run like a current through textures of stand up bass, guitar, ukulele and world percussion. With strong ties to world folklore traditions, Ley Line’s multilingual compositions evoke the beauty of the human experience through our connection

to nature and each other.

Ley Line is inspired by a deep appreciation for folk music and the way it travels and evolves across borders and generations. Their multilingual compositions prove the point that music is a universal language that connects us all.

Ellis Paul

Chuck Brodsky

Chuck Brodsky

Ellis Paul doesn’t just write songs; he’s a guitar-carrying reporter who covers the human condition and details the hopes, loves, losses of those he observes, turning their stories into luminous pieces of music that get under your skin and into your bloodstream. And much like the artists who have influenced him, everyone from Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan and Paul Simon to the singer-songwriter who is undoubtedly his greatest inspiration, Woody Guthrie, Paul weaves deeply personal experiences with social issues and renders them as provocative works that are as timely as they are timeless.

Chuck Brodsky

Chuck Brodsky

Chuck Brodsky

Chuck Brodsky is a storyteller, a songwriter, a troubadour, a modern day bard. His wit and irony, down-to-earth warmth, and quirky, rootsy, finely crafted songs, tell stories of oddball and underdog characters. His songs celebrate the goodness in people, the eccentric, the holy, the profound, the courageous, the inspiring, the beautiful. They poke fun at what needs poking and sometimes challenge what needs to be challenged. They’re sworn to tell the truth.

Danny Schmidt

It's a special treat when Danny Schmidt and Carrie Elkin share the stage together. These two great songwriters from Nashville, TN generally tour solo and separately, but if the chemistry seems especially amorous, they come by it honestly, as they are a rare breed: a romantic partnership in real life, as well as a musical partnership in artistic life. And the two together on stage makes for a classic case of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts.

Danny Schmidt is best known for his riveting poetic lyrics, which have drawn favorable comparisons to Leonard Cohen and Townes Van Zandt for their depth and complexity. And gypsy spirit Carrie Elkin is best known for her incredibly soulful and dynamic vocals, which have drawn favorable comparisons to Patty Griffin at her most powerful, and Nanci Griffith at her most intimate.

Together, the respective strengths they each bring, individually, merge into a much greater whole, a performance of great energy and spirit, and one that audiences seem to be able to connect with on a multitude of levels, at once: Emotionally, Spiritually, and Intellectually.

Carrie Elkin & Her Greats

Carrie Elkin is one of those rare artists with a tidal wave singing voice, and a stage whisper writing voice that brings you to the edge of your seat, emotionally. Like Patty Griffin or Brandi Carlile, she straddles the Americana, Folk, and Indie Rock worlds, where meaningful songs meet the fierce-yet-fragile voices of powerful women. Like these other seminal artists, Elkin has the gift of projecting very personal intimate moments in transcendent universal experiences.

The voice, the stories, the images, the grace and infectious enthusiasm, it’s a complete package. But it’s the power of her live performances that have created the buzz around Carrie. Maverick Magazine said it best, after a festival performance “I have never seen a performer so in love with the act of singing. That’s the gospel truth…onstage, Elkin was simply a force of nature. Carrie’s most joyful musical moments have taken place with her band “The Greats”. She will be joined by fabulous Raina Rose, Danny Schmidt, Andrew Pressman, and Colin Brooks to create a beautifully energetic performance.

Tony Kamel

On his new studio album, We’re All Gonna Live, Tony Kamel captures a no frills live-to-tape energy perfectly complimenting the weighty but optimistic subjects encompassed in his character based songs. As the frontman and main songwriter for acclaimed bluegrass band Wood & Wire, Kamel garnered praise throughout the music world for his unique approach to performing, writing, and recording–leading to a GRAMMY nomination for Best Bluegrass Record in 2018.

His shows, both solo and with a full band, showcase his versatility as a multi-instrumentalist and compelling story teller - engaging with the audience, playing guitar and clawhammer banjo for a performance beyond some dude simply singing his songs.

Whether it’s a raucous festival crowd, a listening room, or a jam session with musician friends, he finds a way to sync up with the folks he’s in the room with. Produced jointly by Kamel and Robison, We’re All Gonna Live is Kamel’s third record with Blue Corn Music and was

released in April 2025!

Langham & Gill

Lynn Langham and Doug Gill are two of the most respected names in the Nashville Songwriting community. Lynn is a Grammy winner for her song "Old Yellow Moon", title cut of the first Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell duet album. Doug was Grammy nominated for "I Just Come Here For The Music", recorded by Don Williams and Alison Krauss. They will be joined today by their frequent collaborator, Jeff Gilkinson.

Jeff is a classically trained cellist who has performed and recorded with the likes of Doug Dillard, John Hartford, Delbert Mclinton, Michael Martin Murphy, Tom T. Hall and, of course, Langham & Gill.

In addition to being fine writers, Lynn and Doug are both accomplished musicians and performers. They have a magical chemistry onstage, and together they make powerful moving music that weaves through styles and influences seamlessly. We bet they’ll be a personal favorite of yours once you hear them, if they’re not already.

Lost Patterns

Lost Patterns is an American roots duo based in Austin, TX, featuring songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Beth Chrisman and Silas Lowe. They bring an earthy grit to the lonesome, lowdown backroads of acoustic Americana, that is always moving and evocative.

Chrisman and Lowe have been sharing stages together since 2006 when they met during a bluegrass jam at a BBQ joint. The duo plays songs culled from the depths of the American musical tradition as well as writing new classics shaped by those musical landscapes.

The Jitterbug Vipers

Originally formed by Slim Richey (1938-2015) who was deemed the most dangerous guitar player in Texas, the Jitterbug Vipers honor his legacy by fusing elements of swing with a touch of rockin psychedelia.  They are fronted by his wife, Francie Meaux Jeaux, on bass, singing chanteuse Bree Romeo, the drumming Tokyo tsunami Masumi Jones, guitar weirdo Wilson Marks, flute whisperer Todd Sloan and Saxophone slayer Beth Galiger - JaZZ to the people!

Fennario Flats

Austin’s Fennario Flats has been fearlessly pickin’ on Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead for the better part of a decade now. The quartet of Will Dupuy (bass), Joe Faulhaber (guitar), Noah Jeffries (mando, fid) and Trevor Smith (banjo) is a heady jewel in the crown of the Austin live music scene. These fellas know how to turn the old adage, “it’s the journey, not the destination” into song.

FireWater

FireWater's music is eclectic, engaging ear candy with sweet harmonies and a feel-good groove. It's original, but as comfortable as a campfire or porch rocking on a sunny afternoon. FireWater was founded by Lisa Fancher, a Kerrville New Folk award-winning songwriter and singer who plays guitar, mandolin and six-string banjo. Eddie Block joined soon thereafter on electric and acoustic bass, guitar and vocals. Jay Dee Hicks contributes his own delightful songs, vocals, percussion and guitar.

Robin Bienemann

Robin Bienemann is a singer & songwriter from Chicago. His wickedly funny and poignant original songs mix contemporary themes with old musical styles. He combines dry humor and sophisticated songwriting with a deep sense of history. At his musical core is a reverence for the guitar as an instrument to accompany songs and as a vessel to express the American psyche in all its strange beauty and complexity.

Robin revels in the delicious history of Chicago music. He combines Blues, Jazz, Country and Latin music with fingerstyle guitar to create a playground for his lyrical musings on science, animals and the whole scope of human experience. His songs are poetic, comical and educational. A flow of images ranging from vampires, insects, dinosaurs, dodo birds,

work and romance.
