Camping Policies

Camping Policies - New Folk Old Folk Festival - November 13-16, 2025

Check in begins at High Noon on Thursday (13th) | Check out no later than 6pm Sunday evening (16th)

Boondock Camping is “Dry Camping” so come self-contained. Pack out what you pack in. There is a potable water source and we will have porta-johns available. There are no hook-ups … no electrical … no water/sewage. If you need to use a generator you will have designated this on your registration form when you purchased your tickets and will be directed to the generator generation area.

Dogs are permitted with these stipulations (common sense prevails):
· Dogs left in the campground must be contained in your well-ventilated vehicles, whether it be your car, trailer or coach. If your dog is a noise maker and is left unattended, we will ask you to pack it up and leave (no refunds).
· Dogs are allowed to walk the grounds as long as they are on a leash no longer than 6’ and you are on the other end of it.
· Absolutely no dogs are allowed in Fischer Hall or the Auction Barn unless they are a service dog, in which case they better have their badges.

No exceptions.

Fires - No ground fires! Above-ground small wood burning fire pits, gas fire pits and propane cook stoves are ok as long as they follow county guidelines. There will be a trailer of wood provided on site for your enjoyment. Please no gathering of wood from the campground or the grounds of Fischer Hall. If you’re not certain, check with one of the Staph members roaming the grounds. You can also find information here: Comal County Fire Marshall

Music
· No canned music.
· Acoustic instruments only. No amplification.
· If your act gets too loud and/or obnoxious be prepared to stop.

Alcohol Policy: Attendees are permitted to bring alcohol for personal consumption at CAMPSITES ONLY. No kegs allowed. This is a family-friendly event. Please enjoy responsibly. No personal alcohol is permitted to cross the road to the grounds of Fischer Hall; it will revoke our TABC permit at the cost of possibly pulling the plug on the entire event. You don’t want to be that person. The same policy applies for alcohol purchased at our beverage booth next to Fischer Hall. Consumption is to take place on the grounds there at the hall and cannot be taken across the road to the campground.

Miscellaneous:

· No golf carts or ATVs allowed in the campground
· No weapons of any kind, other than banjos

· No unapproved vending or solicitation
· No drones and only pre-approved videotaping
· Attendees must obey all Federal, State, and County Laws

Cabin 10, Inc. is not responsible for loss, damages, or personal injury (just reiterating what you agreed to on your Waiver). If you didn’t sign a waiver when you purchased your ticket, we’ll have one for you at check-in. No exceptions.

See ya at the fest!

There are great places to stay, play and eat in and around Terlingua and lots of places to hike, bike, raft/ kayak, pick some music with friends, stargaze, chill . . .

Whether this is your first trip to the Big Bend or a favorite destination, please remember to be mindful of the place itself, people's private property and the fragility of this precious landscape.

Bring lots of water.

(Think you're bringing enough? Bring more).

If you're allergic to any type of stings, bring your remedies.

Fill up your car with gas in Alpine or Presidio. While there's one station in the Terlingua area and another in Lajitas (a further 12 miles), they can run out (especially during the holidays, spring break, or other busy season).
